THE PLOT:

Johanathan Harker goes to Transyvania to finish up the paper work for Count Dracula in order so he can buy the rundown mansion next door to him. But what Johnathan does not know that Dracula is a vampire and Renfield is under his control. When Harker becomes a prisoner of the vile vampire, he heads for Bremen bringing with him a strange plague that baffles local doctors. Can Harker get back in time to save his beloved wife Nina from the clutches of Dracula.

THE OPINION:

An interesting version of the Stoker novel. Even though I think the makers of the DVD should have made it in letter form, the cue cards were a little hard to read.
I GIVE NOSFERATU (7 STARS)

7stars.jpg

ON THE POSITIVE SIDE (+ HITS):

+ CREATURE EFFECTS (Some impressive vampire effects that still has vew equals)
+ STORY (The story is basically Dracula, so of course it works)
+ ACTING (The acting is pretty good, for a silent)

ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE (- MISSES):

- NO LETTERBOX VERSION (I don't know if all the DVD versions are like this, but the one I have isn't letterboxed and it makes it hard to read)

AND FINALLY...

- NOT FOR EVERYONE (If you don't like horror or silents, then this isn't for you)
