THE PLOT:

A meteor crash lands on a farm outside California. Research Scientist Dr. Clayton Forester comes to investigate. But the meteor is secret invasion force from the planet Mars. When these Bad Momma Jommas leave their hiding place, the S*** hits the fan in a big way.

With destrintagration rays and a inpedetable force field, it seems that mankind has little hope against these creatures from another world unless Clayton can find the truth and weakiness behind the aliens.

THE OPINION:

This is a classic film in every sense of the word, the story is a classic and the way the makers created H.G. Well's master book would make even Wells proud. But was the riot scene really needed? Plus when it got really smoky I saw the strings holding up the ships.
I GIVE IT (9 STARS)

ON THE POSITVE SIDE (+ HITS)

+ CLASSIC STORY (A Well made retelling of a classic monster novel)
+ EFFECTS (For the most part the effects were good)
+ CHARACTERS (The Characters are well written.)
+ CLOSE TO THE NOVEL (No drastic changes, which is more then I can say about the recent remake.)

ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE (- MISSES)

- RIOT (Was it really nesecarry?)
- STRINGS (You can see the strings every so often)

...AND FINALLY...

- MORE ALIENS (I wish we saw more of the aliens.)
