Genre: Fantasy THE PLOT When a young prince is the only survivor of the vengeance of the gods. He grows up not knowing who his father is. But when he is magically teleported to a cursed land. He discovers that Zeus is his father and his is given magically weapon so he can find and fulfill his destiny. Which is rescue the beautiful princess Andromada from the Krakken by seeking out and killing Medusa the Gorgon. THE OPINION: A great epic movie of the 1980s. Even with the mild mistakes. Like day for night. But I like the fact they gave Pegasus large wings so he can fly realistically and not go on faith that tiny wings can do it.
I GIVE IT (8 STARS)
ON THE POSITVE SIDE (+ HITS) +GREAT EFFECTS (Ray Harryhausen did it again. This is his last major movie but it is also one of his best)
+GOOD CAST (Harry Hamlin, Lawrence Olivier are perfect in these roles)
+STORY (The story works even if they re-wrote Greek Myth) And Finally: ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE (- MISSES): - DAY FOR NIGHT (They filmed night scenes when it obviously was still daytime) |
